SWANApalooza

Stay Informed on SWANApalooza!

We have attended SWANApalooza for several years now and we have been gearing up for SWANApalooza 2020 in Atlanta! This is such a great event and we were so excited to see members of our team featured on the SWANApalooza site (L-R Natalia Gallet, CSR, Beth Wilkerson, Operations Manager, and Bill English, CEO SBS Brands, parent brand of Factory Direct Promos).

We were disappointed to hear that this year’s event will be delayed. The delay is due to Coronavirus. While we’ll have to wait a bit longer for SWANApalooza, we’re still excited and looking forward to it. We wanted to share what we love about the show in case this might be a great stop for your marketing team.

Background on SWANApalooza

SWANApalooza is a conference put on by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) which has over 10,000 members from both the private and public sectors of the waste management industry. The ultimate goal of this organization is to improve the responsible management of solid waste. SWANApalooza is a gathering of leading industry professionals and an opportunity to discuss different solutions and new technologies to transform waste into a resource.

Exhibiting at SWANApalooza

We have had a lot of success introducing our reusable recycling bags at these events. The response has been tremendous and we have received a lot of support and encouragement from leading industry professionals who have identified the value of reusable recycling bags and the positive impact they have on recycling.

As Beth Wilkerson, Operations Manager of Factory Direct Promos, explains, “Exhibiting at SWANApaloozahas provided us the opportunity to meet a lot of incredible people in the industry, who are like-minded and actively share in finding solutions to increase recycling rates. We’ve been producing reusable, recycling bags for more than a decade and know that these provide effective recycling results in multi-family dwellings.”

Previous events we have attended include:

  • SWANA Wastecon August 2018 (Nashville)
  • SWANApaloozaFebruary 2019 (Boston)
  • SWANA Wastecon October 2019 (Phoenix)
  • SWANApaloozaMarch 2020 (Atlanta)

Great Experience

Another thing we love about SWANApalooza is that even though it is a large event, they really work to make it feel valuable and manageable. Big events can easily become overwhelming, but the organizers behind SWANApalooza do a lot to make the experience informative and fun. There are a variety of talks and discussions scheduled and the agendas are always well publicized. People are approachable and dialog is encouraged, so it is really a great opportunity to learn and ask questions so you can learn even more.

Looking Forward

While we really wish we were heading to Atlanta next week, we’ll get there soon enough. As soon as we know more about the updated plans for SWANApalooza, we will let you know.
