Seed paper is exactly as its name describes: paper that contains seeds.  Flower and plant seeds to be exact.  The seeded paper is manufactured for a variety of products.  This unique eco-friendly promotional product is a very modern way to talk about your brand and to ‘say it with flowers.’

Unfortunately, there are problems involved with the manufacturing of paper products, and consumers are becoming more educated about these.  Deforestation is an issue that cannot be ignored once you have seen photographs of the huge bald swathes that clear-cutting has left on mountainsides (to see this from an aerial view while flying over the Rockies is a staggering sight.)  Trees are more valuable than most people realize in their ability to clean the air, buffer noise, fight soil erosion, reduce rain ‘runoff’, block the wind, support wildlife, remove polluting gases and carbon monoxide from the air and release oxygen into it.

Pulp and paper mills not only use a tremendous amount of power in the manufacturing process, but they also pump out toxins into the air and into the water system.  Pollution, contamination and health hazards arise from these chemicals and by-products of the process.

Seed paper can off-set some of these damaging effects.  The product is made with flat seeds, for example poppies, daisies and herbs.  These are blended into the pulp mixture created from recycled newspapers, magazines, etc.) then are pressed, set and dried.  The paper product and seeds eventually return to Mother Earth and sprout herbs or flowers thus giving back!
